The songs of Wüstenberg’s debut album “THE KING’S GAMBIT” was recorded at the renowned “Studio Nord” in Bremen (Bela B., Die Fantastischen Vier, Heinz Rudolf Kunze, Joy Denalane, and many more). 

"The King's Gambit" will be released on the 20th of February 2026

 

In addition to Gregor Henning (Studio Nord), Franz Wüstenberg is collaborating on this album with producer and songwriter Jörn Schlüter who has made a name for himself as the mastermind behind the Bremen/Hamburg-based Americana virtuosos SOMEDAY JACOB and through his work with GRAMMY®-winning artists such as Vance Powell (Jack White) and Ryan Hewitt (Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Lumineers).

 

Furthermore, he has been writing for the prestigious ROLLING STONE magazine for over 20 years.
