About

WÜSTENBERG – ELECTRIFYING FOLK ROCK WITH FEEL AND EDGE

When Wüstenberg takes the stage, the air instantly changes. From the very first second, you can feel the force that Franz Wüstenberg and his six-piece band unleash. The atmosphere of this Folk Rock is a play between explosive waves of energy and warm, delicate folk textures.

Sitting far away from everything, in an old 1880 stone house in the countryside, Franz Wüstenberg knew one thing:

his new beginning had to be powerful, yet more honest and vulnerable — entirely himself.

His twangy voice paints vivid pictures of inner battles, new beginnings, and a world filled with magic.  “I need pressure, energy, playfulness — but also conflict, drama, and a touch of melancholy. The combination of both creates an electrifying, living mixture for me.”

This tension defines the sound: a striking blend of crunchy electric guitars and driving drums with the intimate tones of fiddle, mandolin, and piano.

After a successful decade as frontman of The O’Reillys and the Paddyhats, Franz Wüstenberg has opened a new chapter — one that clearly bears his own signature. He opens drawers and leaves them open, wears whatever fits the moment. What good are genre boundaries if you’re not allowed to cross them?

With burning passion, Wüstenberg draws the audience into songs full of catchy melodies and cinematic storytelling.

The debut album The King’s Gambit will be released on February 20, 2026.

Before that, three singles will arrive in autumn 2025 — framed by a 17-city tour as special guest of Fiddler’s Green.

The first move has been made — the game has only just begun.
